Complete your CTLE with ASPDP
ASPDP is excited to announce that we are an approved sponsor of courses towards the New York State Education Department’s 100 hours of Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirements. We have updated our FAQ to provide our participants with important information about the new requirements and how you can satisfy them with ASPDP courses.
- All ASPDP courses can be applied to the CTLE requirements. You should ensure that the courses you select to fulfill the CTLE requirements will support your classroom practice in the certificate title that you hold.
- Courses taken in or after the Summer 2016 semester can be counted towards the requirements.
- Each credit from ASPDP equates to 12 CTLE clock hours.
- Your ASPDP transcript will serve as your record of completed CTLE hours. ASPDP is working to update our transcript to align with CTLE reporting requirements, and we will notify participants when this update is complete.
The NYSED professional development requirements took effect on July 1, 2016. For more information on the CTLE requirements, please refer to the NYSED Resources on New Registration and CTLE Requirements or contact the NYSED at CTLE@nysed.gov or 518-474-3901.
