Common Core Standards for History and Social Studies [P01.059.1S17] – Focus on creating lessons that develop literacy skills and content application simultaneously. Particular attention will be given to strategies for reading informational texts and promoting argumentation in writing.

Promoting Academic Achievement among African American and Latino American Boys and Girls Through Research Based Strategies [P01.159.1S17] – Equip yourself with practical, in classroom methodologies that have shown to advance the academic performance of students of color. Learn how to foster respect and rapport in the classroom through building counter narratives to inferiority complexes that students harbor.
The Common Core State Standards in Math: Connecting Content to Practice (9-12) [P01.187.1S17] – Examine best practices and strategies for implementing Common Core State Standards in Math aligned instruction to increase rigor, coherence, and fluency of math instruction.
Using Digital Media to Enhance Learning [P01.195.1S17] – Learn why and how to use a range of tools and strategies to empower your students to express themselves through digital media and to develop their learning of curriculum through special projects that can provide highly engaging access to knowledge.
