Course Description: One of the greatest challenges today facing classroom teachers is to educate and to assist in the development of children who are knowledgeable, responsible, caring, and socially competent. This course is designed to support you in learning about the importance and effectiveness of integrating social emotional learning into classroom instruction. Throughout the course, you will learn practical ways to integrate social emotional learning strategies to increase student well-being, behavior management, and academic achievement in the classroom. These skills help to increase engagement in the classroom, as well as creating a safe environment wherein teachers can build and deliver rigorous instruction.
